Defender Andy Otten will be sidelined for up to a month after dislocating his thumb.
Otten, 27, sustained the injury during Adelaide’s SANFL win over Sturt last weekend, but was able to play out the match.
Crows General Manager High Performance Brett Burton said Otten wouldn’t require surgery.
“Unfortunately, Andy dislocated his left thumb late in last weekend’s SANFL game,” Burton said.
“After further assessment during the week, it was decided that a period of rest would be the best approach.
"We expect Andy to be out for 3 – 4 weeks.”
Otten, who has displayed consistent form in the SANFL, has been named as an AFL emergency twice in the last three weeks.
Forward Troy Menzel will also miss again as the Club continues its cautious approach to his recovery from a second concussion this season.
