Adelaide will be without in-form defender Andy Otten for Sunday’s SANFL clash with Glenelg at Gliderol Stadium.
The backman will be sidelined for 3-4 weeks after injuring his left thumb late in Adelaide’s victory over Sturt last round. Read our injury update
The 27-year-old backman has been among Adelaide’s most consistent performers at SANFL level this season. He ranks inside the top five for the SANFL Crows in disposals, marks, contested marks and rebound 50ms.
SANFL Captain Luke Carey is a welcome addition to the team in Otten’s absence. The 26-year-old hasn’t played since Round Nine, but will add much-needed height and strength to Adelaide’s defence.
Jake Kelly also returns to the line-up after serving as Adelaide’s travelling emergency for the Club’s AFL clash with Carlton at the MCG last round. Wingman Paul Seedsman, who made his SANFL Crows debut last weekend, has been called up to play against Collingwood on Saturday night.
Another defender in Matthew Johncock has been added to Adelaide’s extended interchange. Johncock was named in the Team of the Championships at last week’s MAC SA Country Championship at Port Lincoln.
Kelly, Wayne Milera Junior and Cam Ellis-Yolmen have been named as the emergencies for the clash with Collingwood at Adelaide Oval.
Glenelg claimed the inaugural clash between the two teams back in 2014, but hasn’t beaten the SANFL Crows in four games since. Read the full match preview
The match begins at 2.10pm at Gliderol Stadium. Crows ticketed members receive free access to all of the Club’s minor round SANFL matches upon presentation of their 2016 Membership Card. A live audio stream will also be available via the SANFL’s official website and smartphone app.
The SANFL is celebrating its Indigenous Round this weekend. Four clubs will wear commemorative guernseys to mark the occasion.
