Crows assistant coach Matthew Clarke hopes to channel some of Australia’s most iconic mo's during this year’s Movember campaign.
A Crows contingent of Clarke, players Riley Knight, Cam Ellis-Yolmen and Charlie Cameron, and dual Norm Smith Medallist Andrew McLeod will all put their mo-growing abilities to the test this month in support of the Movember Foundation.
One of the kindest but also funniest figures at the Club, Clarke said he plans to take things one step further to try and raise awareness and support for men’s health.
Clarke said he could unveil a number of legendary ‘stache styles made famous by Australian cricketers Dennis Lillee and David Boon, Tennis great John Newcombe, and the AFL’s own Leigh Matthews.
But the former Crows ruckman said he had doubts about one of his fellow participants in youngster Riley Knight.
“That might’ve been just a rookie mistake and he agreed to something that he really didn’t understand!” Clarke laughed.
“Maybe the sponsor in Just For Men product might help him paste a bit on there.
“I think he probably will be doing his best. Perhaps it’s more about the charity for Riley.”
