Coaches give Thompson maximum votes
Scott Thompson received the maximum 10 votes in Tyson Edwards’ farewell game against Fremantle.
The midfielder had 34 possessions, six tackles and kicked two goals in a best on ground performance.
Tyson Edwards was also in the votes in his final match receiving five from the two coaches after his 32 possession, two goal game.
Simon Goodwin collected four votes to lead Adelaide’s voting after the halfway mark of the season with 21 votes, ahead of Richard Douglas on 15.
In the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year, head coaches vote each week on a 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 basis. Coaches vote only on their own matches, but may vote for players on the opposing team.
