Both played in losing teams but performed solidly.
Maric had 17 possessions and 19 hit-outs for the Port Magpies, who were eliminated from the premiership race by South Adelaide. He took a couple of strong contested marks and kicked a goal after taking a pack mark in the goalsquare.
Hudson was one of North’s better players in its loss to Central District. He collected 16 possessions and had 22 hit-outs in another solid effort.
As previously reported on the website, Ken McGregor, Hayden Skipworth and Bernie Vince all played well for Woodville-West Torrens reserves.
Norwood also had some Crows in its reserves side. John Meesen kicked four goals, playing mainly as a forward, and Darren Pfeiffer was one of the best on the ground with nearly 30 possessions.
Chad Gibson played in defence against rookie-listed forward Adrian Bonaddio.
Alan Obst played in the under 19s for Central District and kicked three goals. Rookie-listed midfielder Sam Elliott also played under-19s for South and had more than 50 possessions.
