Well you wouldn’t think things could get any better than a Crows Showdown victory, but a huge round of career-best Dream Team scores and a breakout 140-point game for Patrick Dangerfield put the icing on the cake.

‘Danger’ has long showed signs of becoming a DT powerhouse and finally rewarded the 86,081 DT coaches who have selected him, scoring a career-high 140 points in round five. The budding midfielder amassed 39 disposals, eight marks and two tackles against Port Adelaide and has gone up $36,500 in value since the start of season 2012.

Scott Thompson 138pts
We have come to expect big scores from this prolific ball winner and he was at his DT scoring best again in round five with 34 possessions, eight marks and six tackles. Thompson is averaging 110 points per game and is currently ranked 10th in the competition for total Dream Team points.

Taylor Walker 113pts
Walker was outstanding in his 50th AFL game booting a career-best six goals. The dynamic forward is averaging 80 DT points per round and has risen $11,900 in value.

Sam Jacobs 109pts
Is playing some quality football in 2012 and is now ranked the 3rd best ruckman in the Dream Team competition. Jacobs had 24 hit-outs, seventeen disposals and a goal in round 5 to score an impressive 109 points.

Rory Sloane 106pts
Sloane was yet again among the top five DT point scorers for the Crows in round 5, with the hard working midfielder collecting 27 disposals and six tackles in Showdown XXXII. Sloane is averaging 98.20 points per round and is ranked 30th in the competition for total DT points.

Other mentions…
Graham Johncock recorded his best DT score for season 2012 against the Power, after a positional shift to the forward line saw him boot 2.1 along with 17 disposals and five tackles.

Jared Petrenko also posted a season-high DT score in round 5, scoring 92 points with two goals and a massive eight tackles.
