Taylor Walker is free to play against the Sydney Swans this week after accepting a reprimand for making forceful front-on contact with Port defender Jacob Surjan in the third quarter of Balfours Showdown XXXII at AAMI Stadium on Sunday.
The charge leaves Walker with 93.75 points towards his future record.
"We think there was a case for the Club to contest Taylor's charge," Crows General Manager Football Operations Phil Harper said.
"But in the end we decided it wasn't worth the risk of him missing a game if the decision was upheld by the AFL Tribunal."
The Match Review Panel's findings:
"Based on the video evidence available and a medical report from the Port Adelaide Football Club, the incident was assessed as negligent conduct (one point), low impact (one point) and high contact (two points).
This is a total of four activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level One offence, drawing 125 demerit points and a one-match sanction.
He has no existing good or bad record. An early plea reduces the sanction by 25 per cent to a reprimand and 93.75 points towards his future record."
