Douglas cleared of swine flu
Richard Douglas has been cleared of swine flu but will still not play for the Crows against North Melbourne
Douglas was tested for the virus on Saturday after experiencing some symptoms.
Douglas' housemate Tony Armstrong, who had been named an as emergency, was also ruled out of Sunday's match.
Crows football operations manager John Reid said the club's precautions in relation to the virus were necessary.
“As part of the process that everyone is going through at the moment, anyone that is living in the same quarters —- which in this case is Tony —- has to be kept out of harm’s way,” Reid said on Saturday.
Reid said no other players had developed similar symptoms.
“Dougy only got the symptoms yesterday and he hasn’t been amongst any of the players since. It’s only when you start showing the symptoms that you’re able to spread it,” he said.
Jared Petrenko will replace Douglas in the Adelaide line-up, while Rob Shirley and Myke Cook have been upgraded to the emergency list.
