MEMBERS NOMINATIONS FOR THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

In accordance with the Club’s Articles of Association, the Adelaide Football Club invites financial 2010 Gold, Captain’s Club and Premier Members to nominate candidates for appointment to the Adelaide Football Club Board of Directors.

Adelaide Football Club Directors are appointed by the SA Football Commission. As such, members’ nominations are a recommendation and endorsement by the members of the Club with the eventual appointment to the Board remaining in the hands of the Commission. The Articles of Association provide for up to three (3) member nominations to be forwarded to a Committee (of the Commission and the Club) responsible for assessing the candidates.

Directors whose terms expire in 2010 are Mr Alan Sheppard and Mr Nigel Smart. Mr Sheppard will retire while Mr Smart will be seeking re-appointment for an additional term.

Members who wish to nominate to be considered for one of the two (2) vacant positions must complete the relevant Nomination Form which can be obtained from the Adelaide Football Club by phoning (08) 8440 6666. Candidates must be nominated by two eligible Gold, Captain’s Club or Premier members.

Nominations close at 5.00pm on Thursday 11 November, 2010

In the event that four or more nominations are received, a postal ballot will be conducted the results of which will be announced at the Club Members Meeting to be held at AAMI Stadium on Tuesday 7 December. The nominations of the three (3) highest vote getters will be forwarded to the Commission for consideration.
