Scans have revealed Adelaide Crow Tom Lynch has a small neck fracture.

Lynch was taken from the ground on a stretcher after colliding front-on with a Lions opponent in Brisbane last Sunday.

He was immediately taken to hospital where initial X-Rays cleared him of any fractures or serious injury. The forward also underwent a CT scan in Adelaide on Monday. This also showed no damage.

However, after complaining of soreness and pain in his arm, Lynch was sent for an MRI scan yesterday. It revealed a fracture.

A specialist has tonight decided Lynch be fitted with a neck brace as a precaution. At this stage, it is not known how long he will be required to wear the brace.

The Club wishes to re-iterate the brace is only a precaution to ensure no further damage. Lynch is expected to make a full recovery.
