Crows members and supporters can watch Showdown XXXIX from a special live site in Elder Park on Sunday.
Three big screens in the Riverbank Precinct will broadcast the game live. The Channel 7 coverage will start with a special episode of ‘The Crows Show’ at 1:30pm and continue with pre-game coverage into the opening bounce at 2:50pm.
Food and beverages will be available to purchase at the site, courtesy of Fork On the Riverbank.
Showdown XXXIX is a Port Adelaide ‘home’ game.
Crows Chief Executive Officer Andrew Fagan said the Club felt it was important Adelaide fans had a place to watch the match together in the wake of the tragic passing of Senior Coach Phil Walsh.
“Showdown’s are always big occasions, but Sunday’s game will hold extra significance given what Walshy meant to both clubs,” Fagan said.
“The majority of our members and supporters won’t be able to attend the game, so we wanted to create an environment where our people could still watch the match together.
“We’re extremely grateful to the Government of South Australia, Adelaide City Council and Channel 7 for helping to make the live site possible.
“Hopefully, we can get a lot of our fans and, maybe, even some Port fans along to enjoy what should be a great afternoon.”
