Rory Sloane has thrown his support behind the Adelaide Crows Children’s Foundation's call for members to wear a touch of yellow to Adelaide Oval on Saturday night in support of Cancer Council SA.

Over 17,000 yellow banners will be handed out before this weekend’s match against Brisbane along with textas for fans to write the name of someone they know who has been touched by cancer.

Supporters will be encouraged to give generously as the enter the ground to raise funds for Cancer Council SA. The crowd will also be asked to stand and hold up the banners moments before the opening bounce to spread a sea of yellow throughout the stands at Adelaide Oval.

Twenty children who have experienced cancer themselves or have someone in their family who has been affected by the disease will help form a Guard of Honour as the team runs out.

Sloane met the lovely Pam on Wednesday along with her brave son Hamish.

Pam has been battling Stage 4 breast cancer and is undergoing weekly treatment. This week’s game is an opportunity to fulfill a dream and be on the ground alongside her son as her favourite team enters Adelaide Oval on Saturday night.

Hamish, Pam and her husband Jesse are all passionate Crows supporters and are all looking forward to the event after what has been a tough time for the entire family.

Rory was moved by the meeting with Pam and Hamish, and was quick to extend an invitation for the family to join the players in the rooms post-match for another special experience.

Funds raised will help the Cancer Council continue to support families like Pam’s.
