Adelaide had just 29 clearances against Geelong on Saturday – the Club’s equal-lowest tally for the season and ranked 17th for the round.

The loss continued the Crows’ poor record at Kardinia Park. Adelaide has only won three games from 18 attempts at the venue and Saturday’s result was the 12th time the Crows have conceded 100 points or more in Geelong.

Ricky Henderson collected a season-best 30 disposals at 80 per cent efficiency on Saturday afternoon. It was the defender’s highest possession tally in over two years since he amassed 32 touches in Round 17, 2013 – also against Geelong.

Patrick Dangerfield recorded an equal round-high 10 hard-ball gets at Simonds Stadium.

Sam Jacobs won a game-high 52 hit-outs, second only to Melbourne’s Max Gawn for total taps in Round 23. Jacobs also had 18 hit-outs to advantage, again ranked No.2 for the weekend.

Four goals from Eddie Betts helped the livewire Crow to third place in this year’s Coleman Medal with 58 majors for the season. Betts, who was also Adelaide’s leading goalkicker last year, pipped Crows captain Taylor Walker, who finished fourth in the Coleman race on 55 goals.

All Australian full-back Daniel Talia had nine spoils minding Geelong spearhead Tom Hawkins on Saturday – ranked equal-second for the round.

Rory Laird continued his fine season, racking up 26 disposals at 92 per cent efficiency – the fifth-best effectiveness of any player for the round with 20 possessions or more.
