Adelaide defender Daniel Talia has been ruled out of Thursday night’s clash with Geelong. 

The key defender was given every opportunity to recover from a foot injury suffered last Friday night against Richmond, but Talia was unable to prove his fitness after a six-day turnaround. 

He has been replaced in Adelaide’s final team by Alex Keath, who will play his first senior game of the season against the Cats.

Keath played six games in 2017, making his AFL debut in the Round 18 win over Geelong.

The 26-year-old’s inclusion means Adelaide will go in with five changes from last week’s loss, with Eddie Betts, Rory Atkins, Riley Knight and Lachlan Murphy all coming into Don Pyke’s 22.

First bounce is at 7.20pm ACST, with the game broadcast live nationally on Channel 7 and FOX FOOTY.
