Crows co-captain Rory Sloane is likely to play in his side’s crucial clash with Collingwood this weekend despite sustaining an eye injury in Saturday’s loss to West Coast.

A trip to the specialist on Monday revealed there was no significant damage to the 29-year-old’s right eye, which was injured in a collision with teammate Matt Crouch.

“We received positive news from the specialist yesterday (Monday),” Crows General Manager of High Performance Matt Hass said.

“His only restriction is that he’ll be non-contact (at training) this week but we’re confident he’ll be available for Collingwood.”

Alex Keath will be tested at Adelaide’s main training session on Thursday after he was ruled out of Round 21 with ongoing ankle soreness.

“Frustrating one for Keathy, obviously missing a few more weeks than initially expected,” Hass said.

“We’re seeing some positive signs and we’re hopeful he’ll get back out there this week from a training perspective.

“We’ll assess how he pulls up, but we’re hopeful he’ll play this weekend.”

Paul Seedsman is expected to be available despite sustaining a small undisplaced fracture in the tip of his ring finger during the SANFL Crows win over West Adelaide on Sunday.

“That’s been assessed by a specialist and looks good to play,” Hass said.

“We just need to splint the finger and manage his (training) loads this week.

Hass also provided an update on midfielder Cam Ellis-Yolmen, who continues to overcome a  low-level stress reaction to his right fibula.

“Cam has commenced running over the past week,” Hass said.

“We intend to build his training loads this week and next, with the hope of a return to play in the next fortnight.
