It was a special week for Crows co-captain Taylor Walker and wife Ellie as they travelled to Noosa for their honeymoon.
With Adelaide having the bye this weekend, it was the newlyweds' first opportunity to celebrate their marriage since their surprise wedding in March.
But, speaking to Roo and Ditts on Triple M, Walker revealed the trip did not exactly go to plan.
“I was a bit crook so I spent a couple of days in bed while I was up in Noosa,” Walker said.
“She [Ellie] told me to speak to Pykey and see if we can get another little four day break so we can go on another honeymoon.
“We ended up going for a nice dinner on Tuesday night and then we flew back Wednesday so we had a little look around but not as much as I would have liked.”
Now back on the track at West Lakes, Walker spoke about his side’s selection headaches ahead of its clash with Geelong next Friday.
The Crows have serious competition in their ruck division with young ruckman Reilly O’Brien making the spot his own in recent weeks while keeping veteran Sam Jacobs out.
ADVENTURES: How the Crows spent their time off
On the back on O’Brien’s career-best performance against Richmond, and Jacobs’ five-goal return from injury in the SANFL three weeks ago, Walker said Don Pyke could seriously look at two ruckman to face Geelong.
“It could be an option for Geelong, with JJ going out, to play two ruckmen,” Walker said.
“Or you bring Elliott Himmelberg back in or you have a look at Darcy Fogarty.
“We’ve got options for next week so it’s a good headache for Pykey and the coaches to have.”
Adelaide will take on Geelong at Kardinia Park next Friday night, June 28.
