Fans are encouraged to bring new children’s clothing and shoes to Adelaide’s match against West Coast on May 25 to help kids in need across South Australia.
The initiative will assist Crows Children’s Foundation Charity Partner, Kickstart for Kids.
KickStart For Kids help disadvantaged school children in South Australia achieve positive educational outcomes and increased self-esteem through school breakfast and lunch programs, mentoring programs and the Camp KickStart school holiday care program.
The clothing will be handed out at upcoming Kickstart for Kids events which are held for the most at risk primary school children, at five different locations across the state.
Fans can drop their items, suitable for children aged 5-13, at stations at the Northern, Southern and Eastern gates at Adelaide Oval, and at CrowMania outlets once the game has commenced.
Crows defender and Children’s Foundation board member Kyle Hartigan encouraged people to get behind the initiative.
“It would be great to see all of our Members and fans make a real effort to get behind this cause,” Hartigan said.
“Children deserve to be warm, please help our winter appeal to deliver necessities like clothing and shoes, all of which children should not go without.
“Having been involved in this program for a while now, it is actually shocking to see how many children miss out on these things.”
The Crows Children’s Foundation raises and distributes funds to support our State’s children and youth through health, education and welfare programs.
