Adelaide has named midfielder/small forward Abbie Ballard for its do-or-die Semi-Final against Fremantle at Norwood Oval on Saturday.
Ballard will return to the side for the first time since the Crows' Week Six game against St Kilda.
Adelaide Head of Women’s Football Phil Harper said Ballard had worked hard to regain her spot and would add another dimension to the side’s front half.
“Abbie comes in, she’ll strengthen our forward line and our on-ball brigade,” Harper said.
“She brings a real intent with her tackling and pressure, and she can also kick goals, so that’s what we’re hoping to see from Abbie.”
Lily Tarlinton has been omitted.
“Lily comes out, but it’s more of a match-up thing,” Harper said.
“She’s only played the two games this season and she’s done nothing wrong, however the match-ups suited her against North but probably don’t suit her as much against Fremantle.”
The Dockers advanced to this week's Semi-Final after beating Essendon in their Elimination Final last weekend.
“Freo are a hard, contested side, the game we beat them in earlier the year was a solid hit-out,” Harper said.
“We have to fight that fire with fire, so for those going to the game, it should be a good one to go and watch.
“Our Members are the best in AFLW, they come and support us all the time, and they have done since day one, so hopefully we can get a huge amount there to cheer the girls on.”
Tarlinton joins Deni Varnhagen and Amy Boyle Carr on the emergency list.
Adelaide hosts Fremantle in a Semi-Final at Norwood Oval on Saturday at 3.05pm.
