Adelaide has added three players to its extended squad ahead of its match against North Melbourne at Adelaide Oval on Sunday.

Toby Murray, Billy Dowling, and Luke Nankervis have been named on the Crows’ extended interchange, alongside Josh Rachele, Matt Crouch, Mitch Hinge, Sid Draper and Dan Curtin.

Adelaide will be hoping to secure a third-straight win, following victories against St Kilda and Essendon in Rounds One and Two.

Speaking to the media on Thursday, Senior Coach Matthew Nicks said he was fortunate to have a healthy list to choose from, with only Karl Gallagher unavailable for selection through injury.

“If our group’s healthy, you’d love to keep that all year, we know that won’t be the case, it’s a combat sport, so we will have injuries throughout the year, it’s a matter of when they come,” Nicks said.

“At the moment, touch wood, we are in a position where we have the luxury to select from our full squad.

“We’ve got to embrace that at the moment, take it for what it is, and we’ve done a lot of work on that, so we are quite proud of where that’s at, but we know we are going to be challenged.”

The game will mark Rory Laird’s 250th milestone match, and Nicks lauded the defender’s rise from rookie to three-time Club Champion and two-time All-Australian.

“He’s an awesome story,” Nicks said.

“I was lucky enough to coach him as a junior at Scotch College and I thought he was always going to get drafted, but he went as a rookie, and he’s gone on to play 250.

“Only 1.86 per cent of players play 250 games, so it’s an incredible effort, we will celebrate that today.”

Adelaide will announce its final team of 23 on Friday at 4.30pm (ACDT).

The Crows face the Kangaroos at Adelaide Oval on Sunday at 2.50pm.
