Adelaide has named three Club debutants for its Round One SANFL side against West Adelaide at Hisense Stadium on Saturday.
State League recruits Blake Drury and Ned Atkinson have been included in the squad, alongside AFL-listed ruckman Lachlan McAndrew.
Drury, a former North Melbourne utility was unveiled as the Crows’ marquee SANFL recruit in November, and will don the tri colours for the first time in an official game this Saturday.
Atkinson’s connection to the Crows runs deep, with his father, Brodie, lining up in five AFL games for the Crows in 1999.
The 18-year-old made the move to West Lakes in the off-season, having spent the past four seasons featuring with Sturt’s junior sides.
McAndrew, meanwhile, joined the Crows’ squad as a train-on player in early December, before being signed under the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (SSP), as a replacement for ruckman Kieran Strachan.
The Crows will be skippered for a second-straight year by Jack Madgen, while other State League-listed players included in the squad are Jay Boyle, Jay O’Leary and Stephen Tahana.
Adelaide’s AFL side named an extended 26-man squad ahead of the game against North Melbourne on Sunday.
The final AFL team will be announced on Friday afternoon at 4.30pm (ACDT) with emergencies set to be added to the final SANFL side.
Adelaide takes on West Adelaide at Hisense Stadium (Richmond Oval) on Saturday at 2.10pm.
