Crows fans are in for an early-season footy fix next year with Adelaide to play four of its first six games at Adelaide Oval, including the season opener.

For the first time since 2022, Adelaide will begin its campaign at home when it hosts St Kilda on Sunday, March 16 of Round One. The Club has never previously kicked off its season against the Saints.

It will be the first of four home games in just over a month with the Crows to also open Gather Round against Geelong under lights on Thursday, April 10 in Round Five.

Other notable features of Adelaide’s 2025 fixture release, which to date only has time slots locked in for the opening 15 rounds, include:

  • Playing three games at the MCG against Essendon in Round Two, Collingwood in Round 10 and Richmond in Round 16;
  • Three Friday night games against Fremantle, Brisbane and Hawthorn;
  • Again hosting the SA Freeze ahead of the Kings Birthday weekend against reigning premier Brisbane on the Friday night of Round 13.
  • Five games on national free-to-air television on Channel 7 in the first 15 rounds of the season;
  • A home Showdown against Port Adelaide in Round 20 with the date and time still to be confirmed;
  • Double up games against North Melbourne, Collingwood, Gold Coast, Port Adelaide, Hawthorn and West Coast;
  • Road trips to Melbourne, Gold Coast, Perth, Sydney, Ballarat and Launceston.

Crows CEO Tim Silvers is looking forward to seeing a packed house at Adelaide Oval early in the season, and the high-performance benefits that come with an extended stretch with limited travel.

“Playing four games at home in the first six weeks of the season is a great result for a number of reasons but especially for the opportunity to get in front of our Members and supporters,” Silvers said.

“We are also really pleased to have received some prominent time slots and national free-to-air television exposure.

“To once again open Gather Round is important we’ll put on a show that is worthy of the occasion, and likewise hosting the SA Freeze against Brisbane in June gives us the chance to really build on what we did this year and possibly make it a tradition.

“Every interstate team loves the chance to get on the MCG, it’s where big games are played, and to have three games scheduled there is another good outcome.”
