Adelaide forward Taylor Walker has revealed a weekend stitch up that left friends Rory Laird and Paul Seedsman “in tears”.

Speaking to Roo, Ditts and Loz on Triple M Adelaide, Walker detailed the weekend eating experience.

“I went for dinner with a couple of boys on the weekend - myself, Lairdy, Seedo, Crouchy and one of our mates Jamie - we went to Kiin on Angas Street. It’s very good and I highly recommend it,” Walker said.

“We did a sharing menu and it came out on the plate, banana leaves and some rice. Me and Crouchy were pretty hungry… I said to Crouchy, ‘what you’ve got to do is roll it up, a bit like San Choy Bow, tuck into it’.

“So Crouchy trusted me and me and him just rolled it up, tucked it in our mouths and it was like chewing rubber.

“Seedo and Lairdy had tears rolling down their eyes, I had to spit it out. I pranked myself and Crouchy just followed.”

Along with providing a laugh, Walker talked about the Crows’ spirited two-point victory over Essendon on Friday night.

His key takeaway was the play of fellow forward Darcy Fogarty, who’s consistency throughout the season had impressed Adelaide’s all-time leading goal-kicker.

“He’s been very consistent (this season), which (over his career) has probably been one of his biggest challenges, being able to compete strongly week in and week out and back his performances up,” Walker said.

“This year he has been outstanding with that aspect of his game, he has been a super consistent performer for us and stood up beautifully in the forward line.

“I thought on the weekend he was fantastic again, he really dragged us over the line in that last quarter, it’s been great to watch him go about it this year.”

Walker, who missed the win over the Bombers, could return against an in-form Hawthorn outfit at Adelaide Oval on Sunday afternoon.

He highlighted where the Hawks’ strengths lie and the challenge that awaited this weekend.

“Their (Hawthorn’s) whole philosophy is they want to hunt and get after their opposition,” Walker said.

“They force you into mistakes, make it a bit of a scrappy game and really punish you going back the other way.

“We are going to have to be on our game this Sunday that’s for sure.”

Adelaide faces Hawthorn at Adelaide Oval on Sunday, with the first bounce at 3.40pm ACST.
