Adelaide midfielder Harry Schoenberg will make a long-awaited return to competitive football in the Crows’ Round Three SANFL match against Glenelg on Saturday.
Schoenberg had surgery after rupturing his Achilles tendon in Round 24, 2023, and has successfully navigated his rehabilitation to earn selection.
Before injuring his Achilles, Schoenberg lined up in the Crows’ final six games of their 2023 AFL campaign and averaged 16.8 disposals.
Other AFL-listed players included in the squad alongside Schoenberg include Zac Taylor, Karl Gallagher, Luke Pedlar, Hugh Bond, Chris Burgess, Oscar Ryan, Dan Curtin, Charlie Edwards and Kieran Strachan.
Father-son product Tyler Welsh returns to the line-up after missing last weekend’s match due to AFL Academy commitments.
SANFL Skipper Jack Madgen is listed at half-forward, while brothers Jay and Harry Boyle, Stephen Tahana, Jay O’Leary, Jarman Sigal and Sam Daniele are among other Crows State-League listed players named.
The Crows’ AFL emergencies will be added to the squad on Saturday morning.
Adelaide will be looking to the SANFL winners’ list when it takes on Glenelg at Glenelg Oval on Saturday at 2.10pm.
