Nakia Cockatoo's draft hopes continue to rise after posting outstanding results in the speed and agility tests at the NAB AFL Draft Combine.
Only days after the Northern Territory prospect returned for his game of the season to star in Saturday's Grand Final curtainraiser, the midfielder won the repeat sprints test in front of club recruiters.
He also posted a brilliant time of 2.9 seconds in the 20m sprint to underline his athleticism, power and explosiveness despite a season on the sidelines with an ongoing foot injury.
A day after setting a new record for the standing vertical jump, American hopeful Marvin Baynham won the 20m sprint by running 2.81 seconds.
The result is the equal sixth best of all time, and the 2014 combine crop outdid last year's group with an average of 3.02 seconds.
West Australian Clem Smith shone in the agility test with a time of 8.09 seconds, while Daniel McKenzie continued his strong week of results by coming second overall with a time of 8.1 seconds.
The skills tests – goalkicking, kicking and clean hands – were undertaken on Wednesday morning at Etihad Stadium.
