Returning to Adelaide’s senior side in Round 13, the versatile defender played eight games to average 14 disposals at 83 per cent efficiency.

He had fans up and about with an inspiring hanger during Adelaide’s Round 15 clash with West Coast.

Cheney also played six SANFL games of the season, with his best State League performance coming against North Adelaide where he had 26 touches, 10 marks and nine inside 50s.
