The Adelaide Football Club congratulates Andrew Dillon on his appointment as AFL Chief Executive.

Crows Chairman John Olsen described Dillon as a football person who possesses a deep understanding of our game, both on and off the field.

“Andrew has a wealth of experience gleaned from a range of portfolios and a strong record of achievement over a long period of time,” Olsen said.

“His willingness to listen, coupled with a collaborative approach, have been hallmarks of our dealings with him in the past.

“We look forward to working closely with him and his team to advance the game and realise the opportunities that exist here in South Australia.

“While there will be chances to acknowledge Gillon McLachlan in the coming months, I would also like to congratulate him on the way he has led our game to a position of strength.”

Crows CEO Tim Silvers added Dillon was well aware of the unique challenges and opportunities facing clubs from community through to the elite standard.

“Having also known him for many years on a personal level, he is a man of integrity who has built strong and trusted relationships throughout the industry,” Silvers said.

“Our game is in good hands with him in charge and the Adelaide Football Club is committed to working with the League to ensure our code continues to build on what is a very strong foundation.”
