Adelaide Assistant Coach Nathan van Berlo says the Crows are feeling some “serious frustration” following their heartbreaking loss to Collingwood on Sunday.

The Crows fell to the Magpies by a point at Adelaide Oval and speaking to the media on Monday, van Berlo said the side did plenty right for the majority of the game, but its finishing in front of goal let it down.

“We executed really well the vast majority of it but as Nicksy touched on last night, we weren’t able to finish off our work,” van Berlo said.

“There was some serious frustration last night but we’ll definitely look at our method and what we did really, really well for most of the game.

“There’s obviously missed opportunities in front of goal, which we’ve spoken about and they’re costly to the end of the result."

Van Berlo said emotions were still high after the shattering result but players and coaches were determined to learn from the loss.

The Crows play reigning Premier Geelong away this Saturday and van Berlo said it would be another tough challenge.

“We are not always going to get that right but we are going to work as hard as we possibly can to give ourselves more chances than not to get it done,” van Berlo said.

“It’s only been 15-20 hours since the game, so there’s still a bit of emotion around the result.

“But make no mistake by the time we leave the Club today after reviewing the game this afternoon, our sights will be set on a huge challenge ahead this week for us.

“What our boys need to understand… is that we are playing a really solid brand of footy that is challenging the best sides in the competition.”
