Adelaide has added three extra players to an extended squad for its Round Six match against Hawthorn in Tasmania on Sunday.

The Crows have named Elliott Himmelberg, Luke Nankervis and Jackson Hately in the 26, alongside Ned McHenry, who featured as the substitute in the win against Carlton last Thursday.

Crows senior coach Matthew Nicks described the squad as “the most settled” it had been, with a healthy list and many players pushing for selection.

“We are coming off a bye at SANFL level, so we’ve got almost as close as we could to a fully-fit list,” Nicks said.

“From a settled point-of-view, the squad is strong, and that’s a really good sign. Often results come off the back of that.

“That performance we put out there (last week) was a complete performance, so if we are able to keep that team, we would like to.”

Nicks said there were also a few players unlucky to miss out but challenged them to continue working hard to push their case.

“That’s the challenge for those guys, to embrace that and understand that their turn will come,” Nicks said.

“You make your own luck as well, but at the same time, injuries can happen in games that can’t be avoided.”

Adelaide will name its final team on Friday afternoon.

The Crows play the Hawks at University of Tasmania Stadium on Sunday at 12.40pm (ACST).
