Taylor Walker polled a perfect 10 for the first time this year in Adelaide's 69-point win over Melbourne.

Walker amassed a career-best 25 possessions and 16 marks, and also kicked 4.2 and passed off three other goals to earn maxium votes from coaches Brenton Sanderson and Mark Neeld.

Scott Thompson polled six votes to draw level with teammate Patrick Dangerfield, who received one vote, in fifth spot on AFLCA Player of the Year leaderboard. Thompson and Dangerfield have 82 votes apiece.

Big men Sam Jacobs and Kurt Tippett both earned four votes for their dominant displays, while Colin Sylvia (five votes) was the only Melbourne player to poll.

Richmond star Trent Cotchin received another six votes in Round 22 to take an unassailable lead heading into the final minor round game of the season.
