Hayden Skipworth will be the only Crows player on show in Sunday’s SANFL grand final after Chris Knights was ruled out for medical reasons.Skipworth will be an important part of Woodville-West Torrens’ bid to end the club’s premiership drought by overcoming its finals nemesis Central District. But midfielder Knights, who has been suffering from shingles on top of not playing for six weeks because of a quad strain, will not be available.Crows doctor Brian Sando said: “Chris hasn’t been able to train for some time because of the shingles and when you add that to his quad problems, it would be a huge risk for him to play this weekend.”Skipworth was outstanding for the Eagles in Sunday’s seven-point preliminary final win over North Adelaide at Adelaide Oval.He was busy at the stoppages and had 30 possessions, although he would have liked a better return in front of goal than 1.4.Ruckman Ben Hudson was again solid for North Adelaide. He shared the hit-outs with Eagles big men Paul Lindsay and Brad Dabrowski and was particularly impressive with his second efforts.Hudson’s form since returning from a knee reconstruction has been consistently good and he will be confident about tackling the coming pre-season and returning to AFL football in 2007.Darren Pfeiffer was the only other Crows-listed player involved in the weekend’s finals but he had a relatively quiet game for Norwood’s reserves, who won their way into the grand final.League statisticsHayden Skipworth (Eagles)
