The Adelaide Football Club is launching its second television show which focuses not just on football but South Australian sport more broadly.

Footy Plus will air on Channel 7 Adelaide immediately after Friday night’s broadcast of the Crows’ game against Richmond. It will also be available on the 7plus digital streaming network and afc.com.au.

Hosted by popular hit107 breakfast radio announcer Amos Gill, the episodes will be produced solely by the Crows and explore the South Australian sporting landscape with athletes opening up their lives away from the field or court. Other local teams, including Adelaide United which features on the first show, are also going to be highlighted.

The program complements Adelaide’s other television offering, the Crows Show, which is into its fourth season on the free-to-air network.

Crows CEO Andrew Fagan said the program launch was another significant step in the Club’s broader fan engagement and media strategy.

“We pride ourselves on producing quality and engaging content for fans and Footy Plus will be no exception,” Fagan said.

“Our growing digital platform attracts an audience that ranks among the biggest in Australian club sport, and we continue to focus on the delivery of new technologies like virtual and augmented reality that can further enhance the fan experience and engagement levels.

“We have also expanded our video production capability in recent months and now also operate a production facility offering a full suite of services to external businesses and organisations here and interstate.”

Seven Adelaide General Manager Andy Kay said the television network was thrilled to partner with the Crows on another exciting initiative.

“The Adelaide Football Club and Seven have a long-standing partnership and Footy Plus is an extension of this important relationship,” Kay said.

“Footy Plus will feature on Channel Seven as well as on Seven’s first class digital product, 7plus, which has seen incredible audience growth.”
