Defenders Daniel Talia, Tom Doedee, Mitch Hinge and first-year draftee Brayden Cook will miss Adelaide’s internal trial game this Saturday due to injury.
Doedee re-aggravated a groin injury on Monday and his return to main training has been delayed.
“After appearing close to rejoining the main group, Tom has irritated the right groin which had been holding him back for the past fortnight,” Head of Football Adam Kelly said.
“He will be assessed during the week, after which we will have a clearer picture regarding his return to play date.”
Hinge dislocated his right shoulder during Monday’s training session and scans have cleared him of major damage and he will not require surgery.
“Pleasingly scans have confirmed minor damage only, meaning surgery will not be required,” Kelly said.
“He will be rehabilitated and managed conservatively back to full training.
“Over the coming week we will be able to make a better assessment regarding expected return to play timelines.
“Thankfully Mitch has completed a very strong pre-season and has a good foundation for the year ahead.”
Talia continues to make strong progress from his post-season knee surgery and is increasing his running loads ahead of his expected return in the early rounds of the season.
Cook is continuing his rehabilitation from a shoulder reconstruction last year and is yet to take part in contact training.
The Crows will play a full-scale internal trial game at West Lakes from 10.30am on Saturday. The game is closed to public due to AFL Covid protocol.
