Teah Charlton will make her AFLW debut on Saturday when the Crows take on the West Coast Eagles in Round One.
The 18-year-old was Adelaide’s first selection in the 2020 Draft and after an impressive pre-season will pull on the Crows guernsey for the first time.
There will also be two Club debuts on Saturday, with forward Ashleigh Woodland and defender Lisa Whiteley named to play their first AFLW game for Adelaide.
Star midfielder Ebony Marinoff will play after the AFL Tribunal overturned a three-match ban on Thursday night.
It will be a return to the field for two Crows who haven’t played an AFLW game in 671 days, with captain Chelsea Randall and midfielder Hannah Button named in the side.
Five players were unavailable for selection including Chloe Scheer and Deni Varnhagen (both knees), however both players are set to be reintroduced to full training next week.
Rachelle Martin (slight stress reaction in shin) and Hannah Munyard (shoulder subluxation) weren’t risked for Round One but should be available for selection in Round Two.
Dayna Cox is rehabilitating a hamstring injury and is likely to miss the first month of the season.
The Crows will wear their new clash guernsey for the first time, which features an Indigenous designed inspired by forward Danielle Ponter.
Adelaide’s match against West Coast at Mineral Resources Park will get underway at 4:40pm ACDT.
It will be broadcast live and free on 7Mate in Adelaide from 4.30pm ACDT and nationally on Fox Footy.
