Reigning Crows AFLW Club Champion Anne Hatchard credits winning the SANFLW premiership with North Adelaide as her highlight of 2020.
Despite a year full of football accolades including AFLW All Australian selection for the second time and breaking the all-time AFLW disposal record with 35 in Round One, it wasn’t difficult for Hatchard to pick her favourite.
“Winning the premiership in August with my new teammates was really fun,” Hatchard said.
“Especially after the AFLW season was called off early, to have a full season of SANFLW and to come away with the premiership was great.
“It was great to play alongside some of my longtime friends in footy at North and to win with them was really special.”
Although the midfielder embraced the SANFLW season, she is now loving being back out on the track with her AFLW teammates.
“After a disjointed end to the 2020 season, it was so exciting to come back together and hit the track,” Hatchard said.
“Everyone is working really hard and now we have a start date for the season, everyone’s really determined to get stuck into some proper games.”
Hatchard and her AFLW teammates will have a break over Christmas before returning to training on Monday, January 4.
