1. Nickname
Hately’s nickname isn’t overly creative, he runs with a simple ‘Jacko’.
2. Capital city
Born in Canberra, Hately spent the first two years of his life in Australia’s capital city. He then moved to Gawler.
3. Three schools
Walkerville Junior Primary was Hately’s first school, before spending a year and a half at St Peter’s College. He rounded out his schooling at Trinity College.
4. Two local teams
While the Walkerville Cats was his local team, Hately also played school footy with Trinity.
5. Hately’s highlights
Winning the under-18 nationals with South Australia and then making his AFL debut with GWS are his favourite footy moments.

Despite his roots in Canberra and Adelaide, Hately supported Collingwood growing up.

A big basketball fan, Hately is a proud LeBron James fan.

As a Central Districts boy, Hately is looking forward to playing with a fellow Bulldog, Wayne Milera.
