SUMMARY
There’s a lot on the line for the Crows and Tigers when they meet at The Bay on Sunday after both clubs caused two of the season’s biggest upsets last round. Adelaide toppled ladder leaders Sturt at Thebarton while the Tigers claimed the scalp of South Adelaide for just their fourth win of the year. It’s a must-win match for the home side if they are to have any hope of a late finals charge. The signs have been good for Glenelg this season, but the Tigers have lost four games by 15 points or less this year which could prove costly come season’s end. Adelaide is edging closer to securing its maiden SANFL finals appearance, but needs to win on Sunday to stay in the hunt for the double chance.

THE SIX POINTS
1. The SANFL Crows have won three of their past four games, including a 12-point win over flag fancies Sturt at Thebarton Oval last weekend.
2. Jonathon Beech and Hugh Greenwood both bagged three goals in Adelaide’s 30-point win over the Tigers earlier this season. Ricky Henderson was the leading ball-winner on the ground with 31 possessions, while Alex Keath made his Crows debut in his first game of football in eight years.
3. Adelaide’s only SANFL draw was against Glenelg in monsoonal conditions early last season. A light failure prematurely ended the match during the final term with both teams locked on 51 points apiece.
4. Glenelg snapped a three-game losing streak by upsetting South Adelaide by 10 points at Gliderol Stadium last Saturday.
5. James Podsiadly holds the record for the most goals kicked by a Crow in a SANFL match. He booted 11.6 against Glenelg in Round 19 last year.
6. Adelaide and Glenelg are ranked third and fourth respectively for contested possessions in the SANFL this season. Cam Ellis-Yolmen leads the competition in the statistic, while Glenelg’s Matthew Snook and Ben Sawford are ranked sixth and seventh.
IT'S A BIG WEEK FOR… Harry Dear
Young forward Harry Dear has hit a purple patch in recent weeks, booting nine goals from his last two SANFL games. While his output in front of goal has been valuable, Crows coaching staff have been equally impressed with his competitiveness and impact around the ground. Dear oozes potential, but the 19-year-old knows consistency remains his greatest challenge. It’ll be another great test for the promising tall this Sunday against a Tigers backline led by powerfully-built former Crow James Sellar.
