Aged care provider Life Care has partnered with the Adelaide Football Club proving that passion for footy does not diminish with age.
Crows players enjoyed an afternoon tea this week at Life Care’s Glen Osmond, Everard Park & Joslin residences.
Decked out with Crows coloured table cloths and memorabilia, the players received a very enthusiastic reception.
Patrick Dangerfield and Tom Lynch enjoyed some biscuits and lollies with the ladies after posing for pictures and participating in birthday presentations.
Both were impressed with the buzz around the Everard Park site.
When the keen Crows fans asked about the upcoming season, the players were confident that good things are coming.
“We want to earn a lot of respect from our opponents. We are looking to build a winning culture around the club," Lynch said.
Dangerfield added, "We have played some good footy in recent years…and we can expect some good things in 2012”.
Recently promoted from the rookie list, Ian Callinan also visited the Joslin residence where he played a game of bowls with 100 year old Mona Haywood pictured here.
Ian thoroughly enjoyed his visit making special mention to the enthusiasm of the residents.
“They are passionate about footy - especially the Crows and I have really enjoyed meeting everyone,” he said.
This isn’t the first time players have visited Life Care sites. In 2011, Crows players appeared twice to kick of their tipping competition and again to celebrate the winners.
Players who go along to the visits say they are always well received and have a great time.
“We had lots of fun - it was a ball,” Callinan said.
