Adelaide forward Taylor Walker has revealed he’s received “death threats, family threats” following games.
Walker took a stance with Brisbane wingman Mitch Robinson who fired back at a fan following a failed multibet.
Public announcement!

Not one AFL player gives a flying f*** how we cost you a $100 multi, it’s $5 bet you idiot. If you’re struggling with that amount please don’t punt in the first place. Death threats & “hope you do your ACL next game” I dare say we won’t pay you out either.
The former Crows skipper is no stranger to criticism, but believes personal attacks take it too far.
“I copped a fair bit of it on the weekend, (because) I didn’t kick a goal,” Walker told Triple M’s Roo & Ditts.
“It’s getting to a stage where it’s pretty disgusting… death threats, family threats, comments about kids.
“Sometimes you read it and think ‘who on God’s earth could sit there and say things like this?’.
“Once you read it, you can’t unread it.”
Regarding his form, Walker believed he had bounced back after a quiet few weeks in the middle of the season.
“The first couple of rounds I was ok, then I went through three or four rounds where I probably wasn’t having an impact on the game,” he said.
“I bounced back and I feel like I’m playing some good footy the past few weeks.”
