Adelaide has delisted four players and finalised its primary list in preparation for next month’s national draft.
James Sellar, Myke Cook, Will Young and James Craig have been advised by the Crows that they will not be offered a new contract, while Brad Symes has accepted a new one-year deal.
There have been ten changes to the primary list since the end of the 2011 season. In addition to the delistings, four players changed clubs and two retired.
Adelaide has added six players to the primary list - including four through the trade period - and still has four spots to fill at the national and pre-season drafts.
Crows Football Operations General Manager Phil Harper said: “It’s always a tough time of the year and the Club appreciates what these young men have contributed to the Club. All four have outstanding character and we wish them all their best for their football careers. But we need to keep introducing new talent to the squad and - after a successful trade period - we now have the opportunity to use the drafts to complete our 2012 list.”
Sellar was drafted in 2006 and played 21 AFL games. Young, drafted in 2007, played two AFL games last year and Cook, also drafted in 2007, played 14 AFL games. Craig did not play an AFL game in two seasons with the Crows.
Adelaide holds selections 27, 41, 46 and 64 in the 2012 national draft, to be held in Sydney on November 24.
