Eight goals to Josh Jenkins was the headline performances among Crows in the SANFL on the weekend.

The forward/ruckman, who has played 11 AFL games this season, starred for Sturt in its win over Port Adelaide in the last minor round. The performance comes after Jenkins was nominated for the AFL Players Association Best First Year Player Award

Brodie Martin, Richard Tambling and Sam Kerridge were also listed among Sturt’s best.

Tom Lynch (Glenelg) and Luke Thompson (Eagles) were pulled out of Sunday’s games as a precaution because of the short break before Friday night’s AFL final against Fremantle.

In the league finals this Sunday, Central District takes on West Adelaide in the qualifying final and the Eagles clash with North Adelaide in the elimination final. Top side Norwood has the weekend off.
