For some supporters, the names the 16 AFL clubs call at Saturday’s NAB AFL Draft will be just that – names.But for a growing band of fanatical football supporters, each name will mean something. The spread of the internet, television coverage of the U18 Championships and increasing traditional media coverage means many of the draft contenders are familiar faces well before draft day.Has any another potential draftee in the past decade received the amount of publicity as South Australia’s Bryce Gibbs? Excels with his work at stoppages and can push forward and kick goals. Debuted in the WAFL this year playing six matches, and won All-Australian U18 honours. AIS/AFL Academy Graduate. Tallest player attending the NAB AFL Draft Camp measuring in at 203.2cm. Showed fantastic speed for such a tall player with a 20m sprint time of 3.02sec.Eric McKenzieWA, 28-Jul-88, Claremont, Defender, 195.8, 91Tall and strong, he plays mainly in defence but has also been used in the ruck.
