Experienced sporting and health administrator Imelda Lynch has been re-elected to the Adelaide Football Club’s Board of Directors for a second term.

Lynch, who currently chairs the Club’s History and Tradition Committee, polled the most votes from Members in an independently run election involving three candidates vying for one vacancy.

The current Chair of ACH Group, and Director of Bellberry Ltd and member of the Australian Medical Research Advisory Board, Lynch also has an extensive background in leadership positions in the sporting, public, private and not-for-profit sectors.

She is a former CEO of the Heart Foundation SA/NT, Chair of Glenelg Golf Club and has previously served on the Board of the Macular Disease Foundation Australia, Royal Adelaide Hospital and Brain Injury SA.

Lynch was first elected to the Crows’ Board in 2023 and will now serve a second two-year term which was announced at the Club’s Annual Members Meeting on Wednesday night.

Crows Chair John Olsen congratulated Lynch, who received 49.6 percent of the vote ahead of Matthew Parbs on 31 percent and Con Markou with 19.4 percent.

“A key strength of the Club’s Board is the diversity of skillsets amongst our Directors, and Imelda brings a wealth of experience in senior leadership positions,” Olsen said.

“In congratulating Imelda, I would also like to thank the other candidates for their nominations and willingness to serve the Club.”

Lynch described her previous two years on the Board as a privilege and thanked Members who had taken the opportunity to vote in this year’s election.

“As a Member-elected Director, I take the responsibility to listen and represent our Membership base very seriously,” she said.

“The past two years has only strengthened my passion for the Club and I am excited about the direction we are heading, particularly as we move closer to a new permanent home at Thebarton.”

Former players and experienced football administrators Neil Balme and James Gallagher have now both officially joined the Board on three-year terms. Balme will take on the role of Football Director.

Current Director Richard Fennell has also been re-appointed on a further three-year term and Mark Ricciuto for another 12-months.

Adelaide’s current Board Directors are John Olsen (Chair), Linda Fellows (Deputy Chair), Stephen Roche, Mark Ricciuto, Shanti Berggren, Richard Fennell, Neil Balme, James Gallagher, Graeme Goodings and Imelda Lynch.
