Eagles building depth for finals
By Nathan Schmook
WEST Coast coach John Worsfold says he has a squad of up to 32 players capable of holding their own at AFL level as the club looks to build its depth on the verge of the finals.
The Eagles will be without key defender Will Schofield, who has had a plate inserted into his fractured cheekbone, and midfielder Daniel Kerr (back) against Adelaide on Saturday night, but Worsfold said the club had plenty of options at the selection table.
Jack Darling, Sam Butler and Mitch Brown are all pressing to return, and premiership defender Brett Jones, who has not played at AFL level this season, could be handed what may end up being a farewell game.

Playing for keeps: Worsfold
By Nick Berrett
West Coast hosts Adelaide at Patersons Stadium this Saturday in a dead rubber but Adam Selwood says it will present a valuable opportunity for the team to iron out some kinks ahead of a qualifying final date with reigning premiers Collingwood.
WEST Coast is assured of fourth position and the double chance in the finals but coach John Worsfold will not rest any players ahead of next week's dead rubber against Adelaide.
Indeed the Eagles could have a number of returning players, including Daniel Kerr and Jack Darling.
Worsfold said he did not think it was "logical" to rest players in the final round.
"Our aim is to play each week with the intensity that we demand from each other," he said.
"We will make decisions on next week (against the Crows) based on next week being an important game.
"I don't think it is logical (to rest players), other people have a different view but we know what we are all about and what we believe is going to keep our team in the best form for the remainder of the year."

Eagle Schofield in doubt for finals
By Craig O’Donoghue
West Coast defender Will Schofield’s finals dreams are in jeopardy after he suffered a fractured cheekbone in Saturday night’s win over Brisbane.
Schofield will miss this week’s game against Adelaide and there are doubts about his availability for the finals as the injury heals.
Schofield has enjoyed a fantastic season playing on different types of players in the back line. He’s missed just one game and shown dramatic improvement after also playing 20 matches last year.
With Matt Rosa recovering from a knee injury and Daniel Kerr sidelined for another week with a back problem, the Eagles can’t afford to lose more of their best team so close to the finals.

Kennedy's joshing around a big video hit
By Simon White
First Collingwood had the Secret Shuffler, now the West Coast Eagles have Josh Kennedy - entrepreneur, icon of Perth and all-round good guy.
Kennedy's parody of his life, entitled The Hero and the Footballer, is fast becoming a hit on You Tube and shows the Eagles spearhead has several more strings to his bow than the on-field ones that have netted him 51 goals so far this season.
The video, which also stars teammates Dean Cox, Mark Nicoski, Sam Butler, Brad Ebert and Andrew Gaff, details Kennedy's attempts to give Perth a hero and was filmed for West Coast's official TV show, Eagle Vision.
It also shows that, for all Gaffs’ brilliance in his debut season, first-year players still get a tough time of things.

Adam Selwood claims West Coast players don't need a rest
By Joseph Sapienza
WEST Coast veteran Adam Selwood says he and his teammates aren't willing to put their hands up to rest battle-weary bodies ahead of the finals campaign which begins in a fortnight.
The Eagles locked in fourth spot and a double-chance in the finals after a come-from-behind win against Brisbane on a rain-soaked ‘Gabba, prompting suggestions the club could rest a few players so they would be refreshed for the finals.
Just six players have played in all 21 games this season, including Adam and Scott Selwood, Luke Shuey, Matt Priddis, Mark Nicoski, Shannon Hurn and Dean Cox.
A further five - Quinten Lynch, Darren Glass, Will Schofield, Andrew Embley and Brad Ebert - have played 20 games while Nic Naitanui, Josh Kennedy and Jack Darling have featured in 19.
