Commission hearing postponed
The AFL has postponed Monday's Commission hearing involving the Adelaide Football Club
The hearing, at which the Crows, CEO Steven Trigg, General Manager of Football Operations Phil Harper and Kurt Tippett were set to face allegations of draft tampering and breaches of player payment rules, has now been adjourned until a yet-to-be-determined date, expected to be in December.
The AFL advised the Club and Mr Harper, as well as Mr Trigg, Mr Reid and Adelaide Crows-listed player Kurt Tippett, that the Commission would provide the requested extra time, and that the hearing will not proceed on Monday as previously scheduled, to ensure that natural justice is provided.
Harper, the club, Crows CEO Steven Trigg and former general manager of football operations John Reid will each now be represented separately at the hearing. Harper, Trigg and Reid had only been able to instruct their new lawyers late this week.
The League said Thursday's draft on the Gold Coast would go ahead as planned, with Adelaide able to participate.
