Ben Rutten’s first priority is to play in the NAB Cup Grand Final against West Coast at AAMI Stadium on Saturday night.
But should Rutten miss out, he'll happily ride the 100km inaugural Boileau VeloAdelaide on Sunday, March 18 through the Adelaide Hills with his Redliner team mates.
Rutten, affectionately known as Truck, pictured here with some of the Redliners, is one of a number of current players who are part of the Redliners cycling team that rides together most weekends when the football calendar permits.
The Redliners is a group of cyclists affiliated with the Adelaide Football Club and includes current players, past players, family and friends.
Last October, the Redliners raised more than $15,000 for the Crows Foundation when they rode from Adelaide-Waikerie-Clare return covering more than 520 kilometres in three days.
During their ride on Sunday, the Redliners hope to raise funds for the Smith Family helping disadvantaged Aussie kids.
