Adelaide’s quest for a top-two finish hit a roadblock in Brisbane on Saturday night.

The Crows probably need one more win to lock away a spot in the top four.

Adelaide could still secure a home qualifying final if the Club wins its two remaining minor-round matches against Melbourne and Gold Coast. But the Crows will also need other results to go their way - for Sydney to lose both of their games, or Hawthorn to drop at least one.

The Swans and Hawks both have superior percentage to Adelaide, but play each other in a massive twilight clash at the SCG on Saturday.

The Magpies, who suffered an upset loss to an in-form North Melbourne, will also be relying on other results after slipping to fourth - level with Adelaide on points, but with an inferior percentage. They face the Eagles at Patersons Stadium in another Saturday blockbuster.

West Coast, Geelong, North Melbourne and Fremantle entrenched themselves in the top eight with strong wins, while Carlton is making a late surge but needs Freo to falter to sneak in.
