Crows teenager Taylor Walker booted seven goals to play a starring role in Norwood’s SANFL elimination final win over Port Magpies at Adelaide Oval on Sunday.

Walker kicked two goals in both the first and second terms and then added three more in the decisive third term, when Norwood stretched its lead to 25 points at the last change. The 18-year-old Broken Hill recruit finished with 17 kicks, 11 marks and seven handballs.

He has now kicked 53.32 in the SANFL this season, his first year in the competition.

Defender Aaron Kite had eight possessions in the first three quarters for Norwood but was knocked out in the last term and also suffered a sore jaw.

James Sellar kicked two goals and was named in Glenelg’s best in the reserves qualifying final win over North Adelaide. Rookie Ed Curnow also played a solid game for the Tigers. Another rookie, James Moss, was listed among Central District’s best in its reserves elimination final loss to the Eagles.
