A clean-out of the training facility marks another milestone in the club’s major redevelopment program.

The end of Adelaide’s 2008 season has been followed by a hectic moving schedule to allow builders Sarah Constructions to enter the current facility and continue work on the $19.5 million project.

In the next three months a number of support pads will be placed inside the current building to prepare the site for the later addition of the upper levels of the redevelopment – featuring the new Crows Shed and mezzanine level. Other ground floor offices and rooms in the current facility will also be demolished and replaced and the aim is to have the lower level ready for the players and coaches to return in January.

When the Crows squad starts pre-season training on November 13 they will be housed in the visitors’ rooms on the other side of AAMI Stadium.

Construction work on the Max Basheer Reserve side of the facility, which started in July, will continue and eventually double the footprint of the current size of the ground floor area. The project should be completed by the end of next year.
