There will be no rush to make any decisions on Kurt Tippett’s immediate playing future.

Although Tippett is considered unlikely to play against Geelong at Simonds Stadium this weekend after suffering another concussion, Crows football operations general manager Phil Harper said it was too early to know when the key forward will be available.

“Any decision on when Kurt returns to play will be made once he has recovered from this current episode,” he said.

“Kurt’s health is a priority and our doctors will look after that side of it.”

Tippett last night used his Twitter account to reassure fans: “Thank you to everyone for your best wishes. My head doesn't feel too bad today.  Looking forward to shaking this off and getting back into it.”

Defender Sam Shaw (eye) will visit a specialist this week to find out if he can return to training later this week.

Ricky Henderson, who hurt an ankle against GWS on July 15, has some ligament damage and could be sidelined for another five or six weeks.

Brodie Martin is also set for an extended lay-off with his hamstring injury from the GWS game. But ruckman/forward Shaun McKernan, who suffered fractures in his jaw and face against Port earlier this month, may be cleared to return to full training later this week.

Adelaide has a light training session on Tuesday from about 10am on Max Basheer Reserve. Wednesday’s main session is closed but the team to play Geelong will have a run on Max Basheer Reserve on Friday from about 9.30am.
