The Crows are likely to be bolstered by the returns of All Australian pair Patrick Dangerfield and Ben Rutten for Balfours Showdown XXXV at AAMI Stadium on Sunday.
Rutten missed the clash with Fremantle because of a bruised shoulder, while Dangerfield has sat out the past two games with a badly sprained AC joint. Ruckman/forward Shaun McKernan will face a fitness test later in the week after spraining his ankle in the first half of Adelaide’s loss to Freo. McKernan was able to continue playing before being substituted late in the third quarter.
Forward Josh Jenkins will miss the rest of the season with a fractured ankle. Jenkins will consult a specialist in the coming days to determine whether the injury requires surgery.
Bernie Vince is sporting a black eye after a nasty collision with Paul Duffield on Saturday night. Vince required stitches, but wasn’t concussed and will be fit to take on the Power.
Defender Luke Thompson, who also injured his ankle playing in the SANFL, will be assessed. Young midfielder Nick Joyce didn’t line-up alongside Thompson at Woodville-West Torrens on the weekend because of a shoulder complaint.
